Former U.S. Ambassador to Israel Martin Indyk says Washington believed Israel was going to attack Iran last spring but felt misled by Jerusalem when attack didn't happen

Indyk said Thursday that Israel’s talk of attacking Iran was “a classic case of crying wolf” and that Washington was learning “to live with it.”

Note: Israel's delay may have had to do with the fact that Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta told the world in February that he expected Israel to attack Iran from April to June. Plus due to the US leak that stated Azerbaijan was a possible staging place for Israel's jets.

The Romney campaign on Tuesday also persuaded delegates to reject proposals to remove references to a Palestinian state from the party’s plank on the Middle East.

The plank says Republicans “envision two democratic states -- Israel with Jerusalem as its capital and Palestine -- living in peace and security.”

Altering that wording would amount to “removing the language that states the policy” that the Israeli government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “has committed himself to over and over again,” said Talent.

After interacting with Hispaniola and crossing Cuba this weekend, Isaac will turn its sights to Florida and the eastern Gulf of Mexico next week. According to Dan Kottlowski, head of the AccuWeather.com Hurricane Center, "Given Isaac's current position and momentum in the Caribbean, the storm is much more likely to track into the Gulf of Mexico than to track along the east coast of Florida."

"The men who have done the most for God in this world have been early on their knees. He who fritters away the early morning, its opportunity and freshness, in other pursuits than seeking God will make poor headway seeking Him the rest of the day. If God is not first in our thoughts and efforts in the morning, He will be in the last place the remainder of the day." - E. M. Bounds
